Marc Bushala, Managing Partner

Marc Bushala is an entrepreneur with extensive experience in creating and building businesses in the real estate, marketing services, media, food and beverage, and entertainment sectors in the United States and across Europe.

In 1989, Bushala founded the National Facilities Group, Inc. (NFG), a company specializing in database management of commercial property portfolios of Fortune 1000 companies. NFG was sold in 2004 to a global investment group.

Bushala’s background in property development includes residential, industrial and commercial office properties, as well as asset management. Bushala was among the earliest pioneers to develop commercial property in Central & Eastern Europe. Bushala was part of the Golub / Epstein partnership which developed several of the first modern office buildings in Poland, Hungary and Russia in the early 1990’s. Through MAB Capital Management LLC, Bushala maintains an active portfolio of investments in commercial and residential properties in the US and Europe.

In 1994, Bushala formed Atomic Entertainment LLC (“Atomic”) and United Entertainment Co. LLC (“UEC”). Together with partner Sir Bob Geldof and Planet 24 Productions, Atomic created the first native language music television channel in Poland and Romania, called “Atomic TV.” Atomic and UEC created, owned and operated theme restaurants and a chain of family entertainment centers in Central Europe. The businesses of Atomic were sold in 1999 and 2000.

Bushala has owned an operated a number of food and beverage businesses, including the famous Ground Zero night club, Blue Cactus Restaurant, The Iguana Lounge, The Boathouse Restaurant, Café Subkience, Harmoni Market & Café in Orlando. He has also been a limited partner in numerous food and beverage businesses, including BB King’s Blues Club in Nashville, The Warsaw Torlilla Factor in Poland, and EPIC Restaurant & Lounge in Chicago.

In 2000, Bushala helped create a global marketing services holding company called The Radiate Group. As Group President with responsibility for strategy and acquisitions globally, he led the group through 30 acquisitions in the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America, resulting in consolidated revenues of more than $500 million.

Bushala is a member of the Chicago Counsel for Global Relations, The Urban Land Institute and sits on the boards of more than a dozen companies in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the United States.


Kenneth L. Ali

Mr. Ali is the founder and Managing Director of the merchant banking firm, Rock Gate Partners. Ken was a Director in Citigroup’s Global Investment Banking Group and focused primarily on industrial and automotive clients. Prior to Citigroup, Ken was also affiliated with Credit Suisse First Boston (formerly Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette), Robert W. Baird and KPMG Corporate Finance where he completed numerous transactions for consumer and industrial clients. Ken serves as a director of Walpar, LLC.

Ken’s 14 years of investment banking experience includes: acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged recapitalizations, valuations, equity and debt private placements, senior bank and institutional debt financings, initial public offerings and secondary equity offerings. Selected clients include: Accuride, ArvinMeritor, Aurora Capital Group, Aftermarket Technology, Borg-Warner, DaimlerChrysler, Dana, Donnelly, Emerson Electric, Ewing Management Group, Johnson Controls, Key Automotive Group, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., NewellRubbermaid, Ripplewood and Windward Capital Partners, among others. Ken has also been active in real estate development and investment through Madison Oxford Partners.

Ken received his MBA degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and graduated with his B.S. in Finance and Marketing from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio).

Wlodzimierz Paszkowski

Mr. Wlodzimierz Paszkowski is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and principal investor with the private equity firm Norblin Capital Group. Mr. Paszkowski also serves as a director and managing partner in several companies across a broad spectrum of sectors, including commercial real estate, corporate finance, telecommunications, software integration and agribusiness. Prior to joining Norblin Capital Group, Mr. Paszkowski served for ten years as the Managing Board Director and Deputy President of AmerBank SA, a joint venture between Bankers Trust and the first foreign financial institution in Poland. Mr. Paszkowski also established one of the leading stock brokerage firms.

He is a graduate of New York University with BS/MBA degrees in Finance and International Business and studied at Friedrich Wilhelm University in Bonn and Main School of Economics in Warsaw.

Brian Patterson

Mr. Brian Patterson is the managing partner of AIG/Lincoln, a full–service real estate development, investment and management company that provides clients throughout Central Europe, Spain, Italy, and Russia with a full range property services, including: development, design and construction, finance, leasing and management. In this role, Brian primarily implements projects in the office, light manufacturing, warehousing, residential construction, and retail sectors. He is also the founder and a partner of Iron Mountain Poland and Iron Mountain Eastern Europe and Scandinavia, the world’s largest information and data management company. Brian graduated from Rice University in 1984, where he was a Division I Academic All–America Football player. He received his MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1989.

Andrew J. Rashkow

Mr. Andrew J. Rashkow is currently CEO and President of Imbibe, a creator and producer of beverages for many of the nation’s largest retailers, distributors and consumer brands. After joining the company in 2001, Mr. Rashkow helped pioneer the company’s transformation from a niche flavor manufacturer of 35 years to one of the beverage industry’s leading innovators and suppliers of finished products. Imbibe works with many of the USA’s largest retailers, distributors and consumer packaged goods companies as their beverage R&D and production resource.

Prior to his work with Imbibe, Mr. Rashkow served as the Managing Partner of SilverYoung Private Equity, an early-stage investment fund which focused on technology and marketing companies. Mr. Rashkow was also formerly a Partner at Chapman Partners, an investment banking firm specializing in mid-market mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Rashkow, acting as principal, agent, investor and advisor, has been involved with the start-up and growth of numerous businesses and commercial concerns.

Mr. Rashkow is currently a board member for Enjoy Life Natural Brands LLC, The Illinois Education Foundation and Komimiyus Torah Center. Mr. Rashkow and his wife Ellen are parents of two girls, Joella Rivka and Dalia Sima.
